When we were little, we meticulously drafted letters to Santa filled with all our wishes. Nowadays, it isn’t always that straightforward. If you’re unsure about the gift-giving skills of someone in your life, here are 12 ways to drop hints and ensure you get what you really want this year: a spa day.
1. “Accidentally” leave your phone or computer out

2. Use the power of social media
Tag them at every opportunity in our Instagram and Facebook posts.
3. Skip the holiday playlists
Hum some holiday tunes with a few—ahem—changes. In our repertoire you’ll find:

4. Or maybe you prefer holiday movies
Mention how Rudolph’s red nose could really use a facial. Or how you wish the Polar Express would take you straight to Thermëa.
5. Swing by the mall
Make sure your route takes you by one of our holiday kiosks and mention how good of a gift idea that is!
6. Exchange wish lists
Tell your target that you should exchange wish lists and make sure every item on yours is a different holiday package. “This year, I would really like:

7. Forget subtlety

8. Make it seem like their idea
Mention how much stuff you have lying around and how an experience would make for a perfect gift this year—a relaxing experience preferably.
9. Set the scene
Turn your house into the spa. Make some spa water, whip up a face mask, and infuse the air with eucalyptus and lavender essential oils.
10. Go subliminal
Make a to-do list and place it out in the open: on the refrigerator, the coffee table or a sticky note on the bathroom mirror. Keep the usual like “buy more milk” and “take out the trash,” but add, “treat myself to a spa day at Thermëa.”
11. Enlist outside help
Have a friend tell them exactly what you want to find under the tree.
12. Use nostalgia to your advantage
Remind them of how great your last spa day was and hint at wanting to do that again some time—soon.
