I think my favourite season at Thermea Spa Village is spring. I love seeing the snow thaw and give way to the beautiful scenery of the Village.
While spring may be my favourite season at the Spa Village, the perfect time to visit is absolutely midweek. I love how quiet the Village is, and I especially love visiting solo during these midweek trips to take advantage of a peaceful escape.

The daily grind of work, kids’ sports, home, and social life can be overwhelming, and taking a solo trip to Thermea Spa Village brings me so much calm.
Massages and Body Care

I love starting my days at Thermea Spa Village with a Relaxation massage. I usually book my massage right after I check in for the day, so I can start with tea in the waiting lounge and relax by the fire as I wait for my treatment.

You have the option of booking a Mom-To-Be, Relaxation, or Intensive massage, and once you finish up this blissful experience, you can head back to the upper lounge to have another complimentary tea or water and relax for a bit.
Where to Relax

Next on my agenda is spending some time reading at one of the many cozy spots around the Village.
The new Prospector Tent is a great spot for lounging and reading while keeping warm.
It’s so nice as well that at this time of year, the lounge chairs around the Village have cozy blankets for chilly days.

My favourite spot to read is in the A-Frame—the fire keeps things warm and cozy, and I always find it’s so nice to look outside the massive windows and see the rest of the Village while I read.

After all of this calm and relaxation, I usually want to have a Rhassoul session booked for my next experience.
Rhassoul Experience Plus

The Rhassoul is a 30-minute experience where a small group is guided to use a body scrub, to apply a clay mask, to hydrate in the steam sauna, and then have a mint herbal tea and Turkish delight to finish off the session.

What I love about this experience is that a Ritual Artisan guides the group, but really, you can go at your own pace. The steam room is such a relaxing experience, and once I’ve finished up, I head off to lunch.
Lunch

There are a few options for lunch, including Le Resto, the Lounge, and Biergarden. Normally, I choose the Lounge for lunch so I can relax by one of their fireplaces while I eat.
Fun tip: In the Lounge, you can actually order from the Lounge menu or from the Le Resto menu, which gives you the best of both worlds!

Once lunch is finished, I like to start my thermal cycle in the Village. The thermal experience is an ancestral ritual of alternating hot, cold and then rest.
There are quite a few options for saunas at Thermea Spa Village. I usually visit them all during my day at the spa.
Seemingly Endless Sauna Options

My favourite is definitely the Himalayan Salt Sauna. The air is saturated with salt particles for gentle detoxification.

Attending an Aufguss in the Logga while I’m spending the day at Thermea is a must. I love seeing the towel movements that move the essential oils throughout the room, and the Aufguss paired with music is incredible.

The Meditative sauna is the one I use to dry off once I’m done for the day—it’s perfect for warming up and drying off after hopping out of the hot bath!

Once I complete a few rounds of the thermal cycle, my next stop is Kalla.
The Kalla Experience Plus

To me, Kalla is an essential part of my visit to Thermea. There is a restricted number of guests allowed to experience Kalla each day, and what I love about visiting during the week is it’s even quieter and more peaceful.

Floating in Kalla is effortless—the saltwater pool allows you to lie on your back and float slowly around the pool. Once your ears go underwater, you can hear relaxing music. Feeling weightless is incredible! This is my favourite experience at the spa.

A midweek wellness retreat is such a great break from your usual routine. Visiting the Spa Village midweek during the day is the perfect time because it’s quieter, and the experience is quite a bit different than an evening or weekend at the spa.
I love that the Village takes on a different atmosphere, and it’s such a change from what my busy day usually entails. It’s nice to take a moment and just spend it relaxing and recharging.
