The reds, yellows and oranges of autumn make for an amazing backdrop to fall spa days. Whether you swing by during a misty morning, right in time for golden hour, on a rainy afternoon or under sparkling stars, let us give you a few tips and tricks to make sure you have the perfect autumnal visit.
How to Make the Most of Your Fall Visit
1. Make time for yourself
Fall is a busy time of the year, right after back-to-school and just before the holidays. Now’s the perfect time to step back, relax and make some time for yourself. Prioritizing self-care is important, don’t forget it.
2. Plan ahead
You know what they say: the early bird catches the spa day. Make sure you get the date, time and experiences (massage and body care can book fast!) that you want by thinking ahead.
3. Pack your fall bag
Add a warm hat to your spa bag. When you’re cozy in an outdoor thermal bath or wrapped up in your robe, you’ll be happy that your ears are toasty warm. A particularly windy day? Pack a chapstick! And don’t forget to bring fluffy socks to put on when you ditch your sandals at the end of your visit.
4. Try something new
There’s no time like the present. Head on over to our event sauna to see if there’s a ritual you haven’t tried yet on the schedule. If you’re lucky, you might even get to participate in a guided meditation.
5. Stay dry-ish
While our artisans will always be happy to give you a new robe over at reception, we have a simple technique for keeping it dry-ish. When you exit a bath, simply wrap yourself up in your towel and put your robe on top. Towels are easy to come by at the spa and since you bring them in with you in saunas, they dry up much quicker!
6. Shed your summer skin
Autumn is a transitional season, it’s the perfect time to take our skincare from summer to winter. The first step? Exfoliating. Get rid of all the sunscreen and sweat remnants from the past season with a good dose of exfoliation. Head to Exfolia by Loggä for some much-needed (complimentary) scrubbing.
7. Have a (warm) drink
Head on over to the Lounge to cozy up with a hot drink and warm up from the inside out. Teas, coffees and lattes are just the things to warm our fingers and look out the Lounge’s grand windows.
8. Complete a thermal cycle
We know, we know, sometimes you just want to sit somewhere cozy with your book or go into and out of saunas as you please, but we recommend doing things in order at least once! Fall is the perfect time to do it as it’s neither too hot nor too cold outside.
9. Grab a blanket
Did you know there are big cozy blankets in the A-frame? You can also find some on loungers all throughout the village. They can also be picked up at the concierge.
